pickFor such a small book, only 224pges, it sure packs a lot in. It has 4 distinct parts, the 1st with prehistoric man, the 2nd the finding of the slab on the moon, 3rd the journey with HAL the homicidal AI then the evolution of the star child. It reminds me a great deal of the movie Contact with Jodi Foster it some ways, the last section particularly.
