pickThis is so heartbreaking. The intersections of race and orientation do so much to harm Broome and everyone like him. I just wanted to give him the love he wanted so many times in this book. The racism has to go. The homophobia has to go. Children, and all people, should be allowed to be themselves and loved for who they are.
