Tagged is for my friend's book club (#RtC) that I read along with. Well, actually they read it last month. 🙃 I'm going to try to finish it this week, which should be pretty easy. Then it's time to live vicariously through NPH. I picked up my copy at Dollar Tree, and it's signed. 😯 Looking forward to it, could use a laugh lately.

Can't really go wrong with Calvin and Hobbes. This was a trip down memory lane thanks to my friend's book club that I read along with online (#RtC).
Alternated between this and Watchmen the day I had to appear for jury duty. That was a bit surreal.

pickI definitely read more this past month than last month, though I didn't quite finish this second book till today.

If you can suspend your disgust over the accepted racism, classism, sexism, and biases prevalent in the time of Colonialism, this is an interesting read. A fine example of the "I Married Adventure" genre so popular in the 1930-50s. Reading historical literature like this takes patience and contextual understanding. #RtC

I enjoyed reading this, but probably should have read it when I was younger and less skeptical. There was a lot of Campbell explaining what he thought was wrong with modern society.
My #Overdrive loan expired before I finished Power of the Myth, so while I wait the two weeks to get it back to it, I went in search of a copy of the tagged book, which is my friend's book group's (#RtC) next read. Struck out on Overdrive and #PrimeReading, so I'm trying out a download from Fadedpage.com. Not sure of quality, but the cover image sure is pretty.

I only really liked a few of these short stories, but they were well written, so I bumped it up to a pick rather than so-so. Read for #RtC (Rediscovering the Classics) book club a friend of mine runs. The author seems to have a negative view of humanity, and all but about three of the stories are severely depressing. Interesting glimpse into Indian culture.
I feel like I need a quick, happy read now. 🙃

Well, I might be the only one not reading Atwood or King today, but here I am starting this book instead. I'm reading it for my friend's book club that I follow along with online, called Rediscovering the Classics (#RtC). So far, I have only read the first story. It was sad, but touching. #Overdrive
