This is a great book for any parent, and should be a required read for parents fostering or adopting kids or who are raising a child with special needs. This book covers techniques from the trust based relational intervention (TBRI) program, and has many concrete tips on supporting children‘s healthy brain development, regardless of their developmental and emotional levels. I just finished chapter 9, “Proactive Strategies to Make Life.” This chapter gave lots of suggestions which helped address questions I have about how to handle different situations from preventing and handling meltdowns in supermarkets to children demanding attention to bed time routines. I know reality will be harder, but I so appreciate this book for all the practical ideas! #Adoption #FosterandAdopt #TBRI
