pickLoved this. 2021 somehow became my “Year of Jess Walter” due to his latest making the #TOB2021LongList and another friend being a big fan. I adored Beautiful Ruins (try the audio!!) and so I looked forward to The Cold Millions, and checked if the library had this. Yes! So I added to my #20BooksofSummer. This is amusing and comic at times, tragic and scary - scary in that way that life just sucks sometimes. But hopeful. Loved it
