When I was growing up, this was as much a part of Christmas as Rudolph, Frosty and the Grinch. I've seen it a dozen time and still enjoy it today.
As the first episode of season 2, #TheHomecoming was kind of lackluster. True it was only part one of a three part story, but not a lot happens, it's all set up. Too much Bajorian politics is always dull.

DS9 2.01 #TheHomecoming When the “Bajora“ were first introduced in TNG, they were made out to be #SpacePalestinians. With DS9, the “Bajorans“ were turned into #SpaceJews. This was intentional and made sense narratively. No problem there. But this episode (and 2.02 and .03) is a very thinly veiled exploration of Zionist-nationalism within the early Israeli State. Heavy. No one looks good in this episode, not even the Federation. #startreksummerjune
