3 🌟 Eh. I love to swim, and I probably felt exactly like this child when I was young and in the water. But it just felt flat. The book tries at time to rhyme or to have a cadence, but frequently fails. It uses long lists of synonyms to get a point across that could be done with one word. Just not for me.

I have been using this Dictionary for sometime now and it is proving more confusing than helpful. There are lots of strange signs such as wavey lines and if you look up one word it is followed by lots of other words that doesn't appear to relate to the word required . It may be useful in a classroom but not at home.

TheAromaofBooks I could be wrong because it's been a long while since I studied Spanish, but I think the wavy line represents the word you're looking up, because if the word appears in that context, the meaning is different. So even though “ya“ means “already“, “ya no“ means “no longer“ & “ya que“ means “now that, since, inasmuch.“ But I agree that it's important to find a dictionary that works for you!! 4y
Blueroseis Thank you. I'll try using it as you suggested to see if I get on any better. 4y

#BloomingBibliophiles Day 14: This e-picturebook (my usual loot from the National Library Singapore despite my being here now in the UAE) fits the #PastelCover prompt today. Onceuponatime I noted that I would not read eversions of picturebooks. My moving halfway around the world with limited picturebooks available show me clearly never to say never.

The images appear to be 3D which is eye catching and fascinating for younger children.

Pickpick

This nonfiction book is all about the way different animals move to get around. The authors include detailed descriptions and illustrations about the animals. This book is a perfect way and simple way to introduce animals and the means of transportation to young readers.

I like that the images seem to be made of construction paper. You can see all of the textures in the pictures.

Pickpick

This book details how different animals move around. I think it is a good book to pair with some sort of dance or dramatic olay where the kids can walk with the animals.
