#SummerSouls Day 15: Kanafani wrote in a matter-of-fact yet also highly intimate manner – like stories that are being whispered around a #Camp #campfire. Most are horror stories that one would not imagine could happen to another human being – yet these stories are snapshots of actual lived experiences of people, who are still pretty much going through what Kanafani had surfaced here. 1. Single POV
2. Yes, the one tagged above... in Arabic.
3. Mood reader.... though I try to be a "list" reader.
@Eggs #wonderouswednesday
Heartbreaking but loved these short stories.
#ThankfulThoughts Day 4: Why cake when you can kunafa? Makes so much more sense to me: #CommonSenseDay. See here nutella kunafa with pistachio drizzles and cheese with kheshna kunafa with assorted nuts. I have said it before but will say it again - Middle Eastern desserts are the absolute best.
#ThankfulThoughts Day 3: The #spouse and I in our usual weekend trip to the mountain, and me with a book in hand.
This is my first book of the year. And it was a great choice. I don't know why it took me so long to read it but I am happy I finally did it. Is a great way how he brings the concept of Frankenstein to the modern times. Even more to a war....
