EadieB @Butterflyamore The only book I read from your list is Recursion. I have a few books from Jennifer Donnelly and need to read them. I have the Tea Rose collection and Northern Lights and Revolution. I have the DI Patrick Lennon books from Mark Edwards which he wrote with Louise Voss. @Andrew65 read them and loved them and we have similar tastes. I hope to read them soon. Now I‘ll tell you about what I read in September in my next post. 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore I read 14 books and about 6 were mysteries from series I am reading. First off, my rating system is usually 3 stars is a so-so read, 4 stars is I liked it a-lot and 5 stars it was great! Anything below 3 I didn‘t like at all. 4:50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie was 4 stars, The Caller by Chris Carter was a 5 star read but his books are over the top gore but I read them with a group and we do enjoy them. 5y

EadieB @Butterflyamore Farewell My Lovely by Raymond Chandler was a 5 star read. I read this one for my 100 years mystery book challenge. I love those old time classics. A Better Man by Louise Penny was a disappointing 3 stars. I have read her series for 15 books and she needs to get back to writing about Three Pines village like her earlier books. Her last two have been off track. I think her reviews will wake her up as to what she needs to do. 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore After the Fire by Jane Casey is a 4 star read and a great series too! The Funeral Boat by Kate Ellis was 4 stars and another series read with a group. The Beekeepers Apprentice by Laurie R King was 5 stars. It is about Sherlock Holmes at the time of his retirement and Mary Russell who will be his new female partner. This was the 1st book in the series so I‘m looking forward to read more. I‘ll tell you next about the fiction books. 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore Hammer of Eden by Ken Follett which is a 4 star read. I am reading all his standalone books with @Andrew65 and @Tove_Reads and we are really enjoying his writing. What Rose Forgot is a 4 star read from NetGalley. Ask Again Yes is a 4 star. I think you may have read this one. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was an excellent 5 star read. If you haven‘t read this yet, you should! Nights of Rain and Stars by Maeve Binchy was 4 stars 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB Yes, totally loved the DI Patrick Lennon Books, I just wish they‘d write more. Hope you enjoyed them @Butterflyamore 5y
Andrew65 The Caller by Chris Carter and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo were two of my favourite books in September along with The Moon Sister by Lucinda Riley. @eadieb @Butterflyamore 5y
The Moon Sister
EadieB @Butterflyamore I‘m reading all of Binchy‘s books with another group and we enjoy them. They are books usually about Ireland and interesting unique characters. Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl is 4 star read. This book is very different. It is a YA book with many genres; magical realism, science fiction, psychological suspense. I read her Night Film book so I decided to try this one too. The Words Between Us is a 5 star read from NetGalley. 5y
abookishbutterfly @EadieB It sounds like a pretty good reading month for you! I definitely want to read more of books by Mark Edwards. I haven‘t read Ask Again, Yes yet but I do have it. I see so many positive things about Evelyn Hugo. I have to say that it has never appealed to me but I‘m hoping to do one thing outside of my comfort zone each month so I‘m sure I will read it eventually. 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore This last book i told you about is by Erin Bartels and I really liked her writing alot and her characters too. @Andrew65 Thanks for chiming in and confirming about the books we read in September! (edited) 5y
abookishbutterfly @Andrew65 The Moon Sister sounds interesting. I haven‘t read the DI Patrick Lennon books yet but I read The Retreat by Mark Edwards last month and loved it so I‘d definitely like to check out more of his work. 5y
Andrew65 @Butterflyamore The whole Seven Sisters Series by Lucinda Riley is excellent. 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB You Know me, can‘t not! James Rollins and James Oswald in October so should be another good month. 5y
