I really liked this. It isn‘t the best story progression or development of characters but it kept me entertained and earned an easy four stars from me. #yafantasy #cloaked #alexflinn #youngadult

These books are just fun. Wait til you see this suspecting evil villain. Remember to be green and recycle. #beatthebacklist #cloaked

Another fun Princess candy book. This time she has to save her new friend from an evil mermaid. Lots of fun with vibrant illustrations. #beatthebacklist #cloaked

I hope they make more of these books. But since they are a few years old I doubt. They are a fun young graphic novel. Vibrant colors and a great story.

Leniverse Is that the same Michael Dahl that writes those easy read horror books for children? There's lots of standalones and a series called something like Library of Doom? 7y
LibrarianRyan @Leniverse yes. Love the library of Doom. He is very good at Hi-Lo books. Have to whole set for project pal. 7y
Leniverse Thanks. My daughter loves those horror books. But they only take her ten minutes to finish, if that. I think that's part of the appeal. If she can't read the whole story in one sitting (max. 2h), she starts angling to have me read it to/with her instead. 🙄 7y

LibrarianRyan @Leniverse I believe the company that puts them out is Stone Arch. Almost all their books are Hi-Lo and they have a great selection. They are easy to see on the shelf because of the distinctive top of the spine. 7y
Leniverse Well... we've been getting them at the library, of course! But I'll check out the company. 7y
LibrarianRyan @Leniverse the library is a great place. They are hard to find in a book store. But you can always look at the company catalog and decide what you want to request. 7y
LibrarianRyan @Leniverse http://www.capstonepub.com/library/characters/ some of my favs are the D.C. super Pets. Plus they do clean superhero books, and some interesting original series. My nephew really liked Dino-Mike. 7y
Leniverse Since I discovered that I am not limited to the three libraries in the county boroughs, but can get books from any library in Wales, I have been giving my local librarians a lot of extra work. They should change the system so that borrowers can order in books themselves, just like for the county. At least I have found the database, so I can locate the books myself and tell the librarians where to order from. 7y
LibrarianRyan Our library system has 457?? Public libraries, plus community colleges, and schools so it is very rare I have to do an OCLC order. Before we changed our system we could do those orders online so the staff only had to approve them, but after the merger the system changed. Illinois Heartland Library System has the largest consolidated catalog in the US and either second or 3rd largest in the world. But still mostly very small libraries. 7y

I love that this series combines being a princess with being a superhero. So many books a girl is just one or the other. Instead of some strange birth defect or nuclear mishap, our girl gets her super powers from candy. This time we get to see water and fire powers. I wonder what other powers she will come up with. #beatthebacklist #cloaked

Texreader Ooooh powers from candy! Love that premise 7y
