One of my reading assignments is giving me some trouble because the words are slightly warped. It‘s throwing my dyslexic brain for a loop and reminding me of elementary school when words danced around more when I read. #dyslexia #dyslexic

Reggie I keep reading states as a verb and not a noun so I can only imagine things switched around. Good luck! 4y

I just want to show what I have to use as a severely dyslexic person to help me read. I use this overlay and yes it can get annoying and people look at me weirdly when I am reading in public but without it I can hardly read #dyslexic #overlay

KatieanneF Hey! I always feel like a fraud in this group as a dyslexic person who very seldom picks up a physical book because I know I can‘t get through it. Audiobooks have been such a blessing for me. How does this overlay work? I‘m curious anytime anyone has a strategy like this 👍🏻☺️ 6y

E.gordon Hi @katieanneF an overlay for me helps to stop words moving and lets my brain process the words better. It doesn‘t work for everyone there are so many different colours pink just works for me. They are made out of plastic and often come in a4 sheets so I cut them in half. I have bought mine off of amazon hope this helps. 😊 6y
