The Testaments: A Novel | Margaret Atwood

Date night with my feminist hubby. Ms. Atwood is so smart. What a role model. #atwoodlive #margaretatwood #testaments #handmaidstale #booklover #fathomevents @Birdsong28

Ubookquitous I had to miss this (figure they might release a recording of the night) to meet other authors tonight - I‘ve been lucky enough to do a two week workshop where I was able to interact with Ms Atwood, so I chose to meet other authors. I‘m sure it was awesome though 5y
Godmotherx5 @Ubookquitous Looks like you has a good time, too. #booklove 5y

I am ridiculously difficult to please when it comes to theatre performances; but tonight I was absolutely stunned with the filmed performance of "Frankenstein" (starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Lee Miller; directed by Danny Boyle.) Extraordinary performances; a great script that picked up many if not all the thematic complexities of the Classic novel; visually striking set & lights #fathomevents #ntlive #encoreperformance

Balibee146 I've watched this a few times with the cast both ways round. Who was in which part for yours? Its an awesome production. 7y
Sue I desperately want to see this! I love my town, but if I could import anything it would be the London theatre scene. 7y
Dogearedcopy @Balibee146 I saw it with Johnny Lee Miller as Dr. Frankenstein (and Benedict Cumberbatch as the monster.) Did you see it live? Or is there another way to see it with the roles switched? 7y
Dogearedcopy @Sue LOL, I came home last night and was all like, " We should move to London!" I don't want to sound like a promotional tool; but I do truly appreciate having Fathom Events feature the plays, operas and ballets that I would not have the opportunity to see otherwise ? 7y
Balibee146 @Dogearedcopy saw the encore screenings but they usually show both versions on different nights here. Cumberbatch is excellent as the Dr. He manages to bring depth to a really underwritten part. I thought JLM struggled a bit in it (sorry Sickboy). 7y
