My least favorite book from Phoebe Wahl. This is about Sonya and her chickens. She did lose a chick and had to bury her but took care of the rest of the chickens so no other ones would die. Graphics were good. I just couldn't get into the story.

This book is beautifully illustrated and written to describe the world if sharks suddenly disappeared. This would be great in a classroom of younger learners, specially during a unit on global warming! If students were expressing their fear of sharks, then this is a beautiful book to tell about the wonders of how they disappeared. It is a very real topic and shows students how our planet could be changed by a small thing!
I love this story line. It is an inspirational story line about the effects of one small thing and the big outcomes it‘ll lead to.
“Sitting at this meal we share, we are grateful and aware, sending thanks upon the air...“
This is a perfect book to use in elementary grade classrooms to explain how food gets to our tables. It teaches children to appreciate all the people that are involved in the food process. Rhyming is also a great bonus from this book!
The wonderful illustrations are a great way to explain how much work goes into providing our food. This book shares simple explanations and promotes thankfulness. Great read for curious young children!
