so-soThis book was readable but pointless. Geared more towards YA might explain the weak storyline. A young girl hears voices telling her to kill people but for the most part everyone she kills is bad. She‘s kind of like a female Dexter. Anyway glad this was a Lending Library Freebie otherwise I never would have picked it up.

Enjoyed this one. Resolutions that end with someone owing a bad guy for an unknown favor at an unknown time create the best atmosphere of dread. Things looked up and then got really dark.
When needing a grabbing read S.A. Cosby never fails to grab my attention.

pickMayfield grew up in a funeral home in the South. In this memoir she explores what that meant, discussing her isolation at times, the uniqueness of her family, and how being surrounded by death isn't necessarily as macabre as you might think.
The way she describes Southern culture, people, and traditions was quite accurate and also entertaining. This book is part Six Feet Under and part Stiff, making it a heartfelt, quirky read that I enjoyed.
After reading Dennis Bensie‘s submission: The Removal, all I can say is “Goddamn!” Suffice to say, you're going to want to read this.
