Mehso-so

Book 5 according to the Dreamreaders group in FB but Amazon seems think it‘s book 12. 🤷‍♀️ Anyway it‘s kind of cute but the one MC doesn‘t know the other guy‘s name so he refers to him as Almond-eyes (in his head, not to his face) and this bothered me. There‘s some discussion in Romancelandia about how race is written and this falls on the “maybe should have thought on this a bit” side. #2019adventanthology #homemadefortheholidays

Book 4 is another contemporary romance that was a complete story. One MC‘s birthday is on Christmas and the other lives the holiday season. It all works out because it wouldn‘t be a romance otherwise. #2019adventanthology #homemadefortheholidays

Third book, eventually I‘ll manage to get these all posted. Another sweet contemporary romance with characters who knew each other when they were younger so it‘s a bit of a second chance story. I liked it better than the other two but it also felt more complete. I‘d read something else by this author based on this story. #2019adventanthology #homemadefortheholidays

Second story in my advent calendar (yes, I‘m very behind). Another quick contemporary story - it‘s only 28 pages. I‘m not sure if it‘s related to a larger story but it feels like it could be. Anyway, the author uses crap-ton and has the MCs snuggle in to watch Die Hard because it‘s a Christmas movie (which is true). #2019adventanthology #homemadefortheholidays

I‘ve wanted to buy the advent calendar stories from Dreamspinners for a couple of years but I‘ve never done it. I‘ve occasionally bought a story but after the holiday season. This year I splurged and bought them all. This one is a cute contemporary story with MCs in their 30s. There‘s even “sweater refactoring” involved. Apparently swants were briefly a thing in 2012! 🤷‍♀️ #2019adventanthology #homemadefortheholidays

Eyelit Well, I had to google swants cause I‘d never heard of them. How delightful, tho I don‘t know what I‘d wear them. 5y
jpmcwisemorgan @Eyelit Yeah, I don‘t think I would either but the MC has to because it was a work thing and it was strongly suggested that he participate, even though he‘s kind of introverted and uncomfortable standing out. 5y
