There have been so many moments in this book that have been difficult to read, and I‘m glad for it; I hope it never becomes easy to read any accounts of the Holocaust, or the years that preceded it. I can also only pray that one day, the heart of the world will heal, and society will focus on caring for each other instead of attacking each other over our perceived differences. #andafterthefire #laurenbelfer

I spent a TON of time yesterday reorganizing my closet, then doing laundry, followed by some holiday visiting, so I didn‘t get to read nearly as much as I wanted to.
