I thought this was going to be a cute rom-com; but it's pretty much 400+ pages of slogging through the misery of a breakup. He's pathetic; and she doesn't come across as very bright. No chemistry btw them, their friends, or their family. No thrill of the chase or grand gesture to win. I cringed where I think I was supposed to laugh. Sorry, but this was about as anti-rom-com as you could get and still stay in the genre:-/
GuiltyFeat Used to be people would get their titles from lines of Shakespeare or Yeats. Now we're referencing gags from 90s sitcoms? #lifeundertrump 8y
LauraBeth I'm with you @GuiltyFeat - the title was such a turnoff to me when I first heard about this book 8y
