I am so damned ashamed of myself for not initially thinking of Maleficent as one of my favorite villains. She was so mad at being pushed to the side and discarded that she cursed a baby. I liked this book but I would love to see another, darker retelling of her history. Maleficent whose name even means causing or capable of causing harm or mischief. Yep.
