It‘s been so long since I‘ve posted but I‘m going to be better in 2021! I‘m also on a new journey. I‘m reading all of Stephen King‘s published fiction in the order they were published! And first up is Carrie!

I‘m excited! I haven‘t done this since 2013. Two books a month until I‘m done in about 3 years!

#TheLongHaul

GoldenGirl I just finished reading him in order! It was exciting and you can tell the differences in his writing as you go along 😁 4y
TheNextBook @GoldenGirl 8 years is a long time to have not done this. So I am so ready to revisit. And there‘s been so many books since then. 4y
Tattooedteacher Hi there, I have a King book that I‘d love to send you. It‘s been read and no one around me reads King. Crazy, right? Anyway, let me know if you interested. It‘s the new one, If It Bleeds. Have a good day. 4y

Alright so I love this movie. The ebook is on sale and I figured why the hell not! Just started it. Hoping it‘s really good. I‘ve heard the movie is better which isn‘t something I hear often! Thoughts? Which did you prefer?

I started this today. I finished this today. I could not put it down. Two boys, one Black and a victim of police brutalitu, the other white a witness to the beating who considers the cop to be family. A whirlwind. Really well done. The narratives weaved in and out brilliantly. I loved this. It takes such a great look at race and being a teenager trying to understand and graps whats happening in this country. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love the way she writes young adult romance. I love the way she portrays the mix of Indian and American culture. In this book I enjoyed the way she discussed complex teenagers/parent relationships and the way she handled accepting ones body and what its capable of. She makes...

This book really started to pick up to me after the first 100 pages. Thats when I really got into the swing of things. I found the story as a whole enjoyable but the only character I actually enjoyed was Fabiola, her cousins got on my nerve even though all of them were well developed. I loved that this story highlighted what it is like making such a huge adjustment moving to the US trying to navigate social norms

I read this book in a day. It is incredibly well layered. Not only does it deal with classism and colorism, but it also looks at how one person trying to make a change has a lot to overcome. This book is so painful because it hints at the worst parts of people and how some of those traits can appear in young people. I highly recommend. It‘s a quick read but it‘s full of complex issues.
