Oh I have liked everything I have read so far from N. K. Jemisin. This was not as good as broken earth. But extremely solid and I cannot wait to read the next one.

Wow still sitting with this one as I did not expect that at all. All the trigger warnings but if you like horror it was great book.

Reggie Oh man, I love this backwoods Greek tragedy of a book. Soo good. I felt so bad for that kid. 1mo

As with most short story collections, there are some really good ones and some that are okay. I did like how SK gave the background of the stories. I wish they always did that!

I thought this was going to be more horror ghosts. But totally took a different turn. I really enjoyed the book. It was a good book for being the authors first novel. Looking forward to more works from this author.

Read this for the family bookclub. I really thought this would be more about the dictionary but it was really a coming of age story. My mom really liked it. I thought it was a low pick.

I picked this one for our family bookclub this month. The title novella was my favorite. But I enjoyed most of the other stories as well. As with every short story collection you always have some that you do not like as well as others. This sparked some really good discussions with my Mom and Brother. I will most likely read her other book.

TheBookHippie I enjoyed this one. 8mo

While I still have one more to go in the series, it is pretty safe to say this is my favorite story in the series. I was not sure at first but as I read on I fell in love with it.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this it was an easy fast read. Not sure if the antics will be something I would want to read again and again. The comparisons to Stephanie Plum I totally agree with.

TheKidUpstairs Only the bottom right one really catches my eye and interests me. The others are a bit meh to my eye, and wouldn't inspire me to pick them up. I guess everyone has their own tastes! 11mo

Extremely interesting book. 6 out of 12 children with mental health disorders. The book focuses a lot on the family and the study of schizophrenia. I would have liked a bit more about the parents and their backgrounds.
