#MayBookFlowers #readthisnotthis Two lady spy series, set in World War 2. Two part-German heroines. One is meticulously researched, the other is... not. For best effect, start the Clara Vine series at the beginning, but I love the cover for this one.
Verity First in the series is Black Roses 8y
Black Roses
Verity And obviously this has a different title in the UK to the US edition and it wouldn't let me post it under the UK title. 8y

BarbaraTheBibliophage The Clara Vine books sounds fantastic, and I know how you feel about the Macneals! 8y
Verity @batsy the issues with the Macneals may be more obvious to me as a Brit, but some of them are downright howlers (at one point she calls princess Elizabeth "2nd in line to the throne"), so I'd definitely go with the Thynne's unless you need a book to work off some anger at! 8y
Verity @BarbaraTheBibliophage glad I'm not the only one. I keep reading the Macneals though - I find the rage they engender in me therapeutic! 8y
batsy @Verity Haha! Filed under "future anger reading when the need arises" 8y
