
This is exactly why I keep putting off reading Proust! Every single time a writer I like references him they essentially say this… and yet… they all do read him, and love him at least as much as they hate him, so I still keep meaning to get to his work… eventually… #dilemma #somepartsofthecanonscareme

xicanti The thing about Proust is, he‘s wordy in a fun way more often than a frustrating way. There were times when I got sick of his narrator‘s crap, but for the most part I had an amazing romp through his long, long novel. 13mo
