The Beguiled was a gorgeous movie - a wounded civil war soldier holed up in a remote school for girls sets off a chain of misfortune as the women's infatuation peaks. Couldn't resist stopping off at Barnes & Nobel on the way home to pick up the book. I had no idea this book was originally written in the sixties.
