As I already mentioned, there aren‘t many translation of Thórdarson‘s work. So I have to buy whatever I can get. The passage of the wedding was already mentioned in #thestonesspeak, it shows a really good insight of the life in Iceland at the end of the 18th century. MariaW @Sarah83 Es gibt nur ein Buch, dass ins Deutsche übersetzt ist: Islands Adel. Leoder gibt es keine anderen Übersetzungen. In English you can only find The Stones Speak and In Search of my Beloved. Unfortunately there are no other translations. ? 5y

MariaW @sarah83 Die deutsche Übersetzung ist ziemlich gut und vorallem vollständig. Islands Adel und In Search of my Beloved ist der gleiche Roman, nur im Englischen haben sie nicht alle Kapitel übersetzt. 5y
