so-soI really wanted to love it but I could not figure why Eleanor was so unrealistically incredibly clueless about everything. I really need to stop reading such hyped books, as more and more they are disappointing.

No_One @Smartypants oh wow, thanks for this tip! I don't mean to sound like a snob, but lately, when it says "New York Times Bestseller!!" the books have not been very good! I'm expecting better. Oh well. Different books for different people, I guess! ? 6y
Smartypants @No_One you like what you like! I used to push through and force myself to complete books I didn‘t like. This year, I told myself there are too many good books to read to be reading a book I‘m not fond of. It was very freeing to not finish some that I couldn‘t stand! 6y

Smartypants @No_One aww! That‘s the sweetest thing to say. ❤️. The perfectionist in me wouldn‘t let me NOT finish books and then I just let it go. I still try to determine if it‘s truly that I don‘t like it vs. my headspace that day or is it a topic I‘m struggling with (ie. Self-Help) if it is simply I just can‘t get into it, I let it go. It feels good to do so. I challenge you to let 5 books go before the end of the year! It‘s the #unreadingchallenge 6y
No_One @Smartypants lol!!! I only read/listen to 2-3 books per month so I can't promise to do this, but I will not stick with a book if I'm really not enjoying it.... that I will commit to! 😃 6y
