This story had so much potential.. but the writing style was just. So. Dull. It was like a textbook. I want to read book like this and imagine what these ladies were like.. I want to hear their voices and their thoughts, but this was just a fact by fact run down. There wasn‘t really any story flow, no conflict or resolution. #readingwomenchallenge #womaninscience #readharderchallenge #aocaboutspace

LoverofLit I felt similarly. It was very dry reading. 6y

Pickpick

Grab up this book if you want a frank discussion of the decisions family members must make when a loved one dies. Or if you‘d like some history about how funeral and mortuary services evolved in America. It‘s a plus if you‘ve been told you have a morbid sense of humor. Because the author does!
