Certainly not his usual standard of writing. Great opening but then it flops badly.

Enjoyed for a YA. Like the slightly off kilter view of that era and part of the world.

First book by author that I've read. Love the evocative description of France food, family, people, scenery, wine etc. A lovely cross between crime and life.
