I‘m really struggling with this one. Normally LLM can grab me with her romances but this one is just lacking. It has glimpses of potentially good story lines but then quickly jumps to something else with very little substance to catch and hold your interest. Pair that with the main characters intended romance being more of a foregone conclusion than an actual story arch and build up, this ends up being a dull read that‘s a chore to slog through.

I first read this book probably 15 years ago. It‘s been on my list for a re read for a while and it didn‘t disappoint! Even better? I just found out there‘s a sequel!!!! Off to the city I go...
