Weedflower | Cynthia Kadohata
Pickpick

Weedflower is such a beautifully written novel following a young Japanese girl and her family facing many struggles caused by the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I enjoy this book so much that I‘ve read it four times and would certainly read it again. Well done, Cynthia Kadohata.

Pickpick

13 Reasons Why is a relatable, eye-opening, depressing novel by the brilliant Jay Asher that circled around Clay Jensen and his late friend, Hannah Baker. Hannah Baker, the mysterious, despondent, suicidal girl who loved so deeply yet couldn‘t love herself the way she needed to. The book clearly conveys real issues such as bullying and sexual harassment. It also shows a side of today‘s society (depression) that is denied by fools. A must-read.
