Apparently Riordan is pushing agendas in his books. I'll just say that the point of these books is that everyone deserves a hero. That includes queer kids. Anyway, as cliché as it sounds, I couldn't put the book down. Magnus and co are refreshing protagonists who are easy to love. I also adore how even after 13 books, Rick is still a master at crafting his universe. With both inhuman action and human characters, this series is one of my favorites.
