One of this 2016 best English crimereads for me. Well written, composed and thrilling. Aaron Falk is back in the little Australian town where he grew up to attend the funeral of a friend who has killed his wife, son and himself. But something about the killings seems wrong, and soon Falk must confront terrible secrets and an old crimecase from the past in order to figure out what truly happened. John Hart meets southern gothic.

A modern Agatha Christie story. Very suspenseful and pageturning. I understood where the story was going early on, but that's probably just me having read so many psychological thrillers. Look forward to Ware's next book this summer.
