I have a weakness for historical graphic novels. The historical period in this one is the 17th century and the fight for religious freedom by Joshua Janavel and the Waldensians. Pen and ink drawings (no color), and a tight, well told storyline!

That moment you realize that the 8 year old parenting book you are reading has a reference to the current president of the United States... in the potty training chapter.

I liked this one, although I almost feel I need to read it again to get the full depth of it. I loved the premise and the world building. Some of the POV changes were a little disorientating... but I think that was intentional so that things unfolded at the proper pace.
