I have to say I struggled to get into this book to start with but, once I was 200 pages in I was hooked and couldn't put it down.

This telling of how the Queen of Hearts came about is heartwarming as well as heart wrenching. I loved Jest and I thought the relationship between him and Cath was sweet.

Through the story you meet the old favourites of the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit.

Definitely worth a read. 4⭐️

If you like adaptions in classic children's fairy tales this is a book for you.

An adaptation on Rumpelstiltskin its darker and more modern. The heroine and hero of the book is Princess Arianna and Sebastian the young male who has had it hard in life.

A very enjoyable read with some heartache and a moral to the end of the story. C J Redwine is an excellent author and keeps you gripped from the first sentence to the very last!
