bailedI enjoyed the first book in the series. Good premise, interesting characters. This one felt…. Bleh. If I had to listen to her say “lightning girl” one more time… Maybe it was the audiobook and I would have done better reading it. Bailed halfway through and moving on. Life is too short to be annoyed by a book.
On to book #4 War Storm ⛈️ , I love Red Queen 👸🏼 still hoping for the best with Maven and Mare, not Cal. Also these are big beautiful books! 📕😍

pickAgh, I‘m so behind on my reviews, but I finally finished the Red Queen series. The finale wasn‘t perfect but it was a fitting end. There were some added POVs that didn‘t seem to add much, but I loved getting into Evangeline‘s head and her arc. I loved the depth of Aveyard‘s world building and how she didn‘t shy away from politics and strategy to make it all about romance, but the romance piece was still nicely done and realistic. Great series!

pickA fitting conclusion to the Red Queen series. I feel that the author was consistent with her characters up to the conclusion. This final installment was fast paced (even though it took me forever to read it - that‘s just my time limitations not a reflection of the pace of the book), action packed and satisfying. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚#serieslove2023
