Mehso-so

This book did have its sweet moments that I enjoyed and the drama was quite engaging, but there were times where I felt the writer could have dwelled in a little more in the story.

The historical aspects were interesting but it didn‘t give out that shock-value it was supposed to provide. And when anything big happened, the characters‘s reactions kind of toned down the feelings you had towards that event. Irritated me quite a bit.

“Nothing can stay the same forever”
This line felt like a jolt into reality and it just made me pause for a minute or so. You just never know when a good piece of advice comes your way, and it just feels special when it surprises you through a book❤️.

Just finished reading this book and have to say, though it was quite slow for me at the start, it was a lovely read in the end. The characters were really sweet and it makes me wish that I too will have such a cool set of friends when I‘m in my seventies.

Apart from Joyce, I picture Bogdan to be this teddy bear that you can‘t resist giving a big hug to.

All in all, enjoyed reading the great wits of the characters and their subtle humour.
