I‘ve read just over a quarter of “Booked”, and I have to say it is very engaging. Few characters which allows you to connect and understand each and every person. It is about Nick Hall, the “star” of his team. Everything‘s going great, about to ask out the girl he likes. When he hears life changing news, everything falls apart.

So far in The Meltdown, their has been many conflicts between the the “upper” and “lower” hill kids. Greg wishes he could get away from all of the “lower” hill kids, along with the cold. Unfortunately, Susan, his mom, forces him to spend time outside. Overall, this book is ok, but gets boring at times.

Baylianlancaster Exquisite description give it a 10/10 5y
Cfischbuch Maybe you‘ve out grown the antics of Greg Heffley and related characters. That or Jeff Kinney has run out of plausible scenarios. 5y

Not very far in yet, but so far, 13 year old Ken Sparks was lucky enough to have his name picked from a lottery. This would get him a ticket away from the bombings in London, and get to safety in Canada. He would board a ship, along with other British children. Yet he‘s not sure if this is just a way for his step-mom to get rid of him, therefor he has mixed emotions about going.

Baylianlancaster Nice description 5y

I liked this sentence. The message I got from it is that hard work separates the skilled, from the pros. Because talent helps, but you can really pick out the hard workers, from the talented.

This was a very good book! From multiple perspectives, that were easy to follow, and understand. An all around great story about high-schooler Luke “Wizard” Wallace. After being hit in the head by a fast baseball pitch, and instantly dropping to the ground, he may not recover so well. I would say this is realistic fiction. If you like books about sports, and overcoming struggles, then this is a book for you!
