This book is full of the fairly well known facts about the quakes but it puts them into a nice story format. It also adds great back story to the people involved and the locations; you wouldn't get that in other books. If you are looking for a general story of the quakes and those whom experienced it, this is your book.

First read GWTW at age 14, loved it. Read it again around age 29 and had an entirely new perspective on the characters. Still one of my favorites.

Don't even begin this book.. put it down and walk away.. the film adaptation is just as horrid. I have no idea what Ripley was thinking.

This is my favorite book about Edgar Cayce. It has details that you will not find in other works; Kirkpatrick really went the extra mile with his access in the vaults of the A.R.E. If you read any book about Mr. Cayce, make it this one.
