An alien invasion and the apocalypse that follows it. The concept was interesting, the writing was engaging, but man, I could see it unfold from a mile away. I got through the first third of the book and already knew what was coming and the end didn't surprise me one bit. That said, while it might be a bit obvious in its plotting, it's worth a read If you like sci-fi
