If you are looking for a short book that gives Christmas cheer, this is the book for you! Luther and Nora Krank are tired of the constant running around at Christmas and spending money on unused gifts. This year, they decide to skip the holiday season all together and settle on a nice Caribbean cruise instead. However, their plans are ruined when their daughter announces she and her fiancé are on their way home to celebrate the holidays with them.

Grace.Henke The author, John Grisham, has chosen to write this book in third person omniscient point of view. This means that the story is told by a narrator that uses “he/she” and has access to the thoughts and experiences of all of the characters found in the book (is all knowing). 3y
Grace.Henke Grisham develops this point of view by giving detailed descriptions of what is happening, switching between and seeing into different characters‘ minds at any given time, and details about side characters or distant events are included that the main characters are unaware of. If you liked this book, definitely check out the movie “Christmas with the Kranks”, which can be found Netflix and is based off of the book! 3y
MissYaremcio Nice review Grace! Way to get it done and out of the way! 6/6 3y

This book follows 4 characters in the fight to bring magic back to Orïsha. Zélie and Tzain have suffered at the hands of the King. Amari is willing to fight against everything she‘s ever known. Inan is fighting to hide secrets that could cost him his future. If you like complex world building, multiple POVs, and magic, this book is for you! Magicite is an important motif and is seen frequently to show the importance of oppression to the plot.

MissYaremcio Ooo this sounds like an awesome book! Thank you for the review Grace! 6/6 3y
