I‘m not totally sure what I think about this book. I appreciate that the book showed that the lows of mental health can get very serious. At the same time, I wasn‘t totally a fan of how “self-help book” -ish it got towards the end. Rating: 3 ⭐️

I love the art style and the story. One of my church friends got this book while we went shopping one day and had me read it in the car on the way back. It did make me tear up a little.
I saw this book at a consignment store when helping my sister move into her college dorm. I liked the photos and the history of the breed in this book, but as for the suggested basic training method for Dalmatian puppies in this book is one that I am not a fan of and one I would rather not put into practice.
I read this book about 3 years ago. So I re-read it this week… my 1 star rating still stands. There‘s not really a plot and the only point to this book is that life goes on and we exist.
I didn‘t say anything; I couldn‘t get over the size of the movie screen. “It‘s probably obvious how hard I‘m trying to impress you,” he said. “We‘ll, it‘s not working. I always hang out in mansions with hidden movie theaters.” -Page 101
Honestly, I skimmed through this book while my family was shopping in Target. I did enjoy the art style throughout the book and the definitions of the different styles of homes. I think this would be a nice coffee table book… I might be a little biased because my mom watches the Gaines‘ on HGTV frequently. 😂
I didn‘t think this was the greatest kids book. I thought it was okay… it wasn‘t terrible but also wasn‘t great. I didn‘t really care for the repetition of “that‘s what made me happy” after every thing. Rating: 2.5-3 ⭐️
I was looking for a baby book for my aunt‘s baby shower and saw this one while looking at Target. I opted to get a different book but I still thought this was a great kids book. Rating: 5 ⭐️
I thought this book was cheesy. But I still enjoyed it. I appreciated that it was a little closer to reality in sense that happy endings don‘t always happen right away.
I read this in Walgreens while I was waiting to pick up a prescription. I thought it was an easy read and kept my attention for the whole 156 pages.
This book was a little interesting. I would say these books are like The Clique series but make it PG-13 (at the very least). These books definitely are not meant for the younger crowd.
I had to read this book for an Equine Science project this last semester. It‘s a quick read that gives good concise information.
I didn‘t really know what to expect with this book and didn‘t know if it would live up to the hype or not… after finishing this book, it surpassed the hype. I loved this book so much. I am still speechless.
I thought this was a good retelling of the Frozen story. I don‘t really know what I expected in this book. But I can‘t complain too much. I enjoyed it and it was an easy read. But definitely not my favorite book of the Twisted Tales series.
I actually read a book called Cowboy Trivia by this author. I couldn‘t find it here on Litsy or on Goodreads so I just log this book instead. I thought this was a good quick and easy read. I also think that it would be a fun game to play with your family.
I loved reading through all of this. I loved the pictures of the food and park maps throughout the book. I haven‘t tried any of the recipes in the book yet. But I am excited to try a few when I get to school.
I read the second edition of this book which was written in 2009. So sadly some of the hidden Mickeys in this book no longer exist in Disneyland and California Adventure. But it was nice to read something that held a lot of nostalgia for me.
Slight spoiler: This book is about a light faery being kidnapped by dark faeries because she has rare powers. I didn‘t have any expectations for this book but I ended up enjoying it. But I did think some of the faery lore of this book did get repeated a little too much like “faeries can‘t lie” or “time is different for faeries”. Rating: 3.5 ⭐️
I used this book for a research project for my research methods class comparing equine assisted therapy to cognitive behavioral therapy for military veterans with PTSD. I thought this book explained the technicalities of cognitive behavioral therapy well. Rating: 4 ⭐️
Another assigned textbook from Fall 2021. This textbook is about representation of animals in pop culture.
This is another assigned reading from the Fall 2021 semester. Mary R. Burch gives concise and straightforward information in each chapter that I thought made it easier to read than the average textbook.
This was an assigned textbook for my canine class in the Fall 2021 semester. Even though it was assigned reading, I thought this book was very informative and it‘s definitely a textbook I‘m going to be keeping around for a while. #dogtraining
My parents sent me this book as a surprise at the beginning of the school year. There are some Bible quotes throughout the book that came from the Message translation which I don‘t think is a completely accurate translation of the Bible. This book is geared more towards high school seniors about to start college rather than someone who has already been in college for a while.
It took me a little longer than I thought to finish this book. I didn‘t think it was absolutely fantastic. But I also didn‘t think it was absolutely horrible either. It struck me as a typical rags to riches story. Rating: 3 ⭐️
I had to DNF this book because I found that I wasn‘t motivated enough to finish it. Plus there were other books that I wanted to read instead. What I read of this book I though it was just alright. Rating: 3 ⭐️
I found Julie Powell to be very whiny, pessimistic & woe-is-me. This was supposed to be about her experience with making every recipe in Julia Child‘s Mastering the Art of French Cooking cookbook. Most of the time, she hardly ever talked about the recipe she was cooking in that chapter & mostly talked about how terrible her life is. I didn‘t think it was terrible, she did start to grow on me the more I read. But ultimately, I DNF‘d it this time.
I thought this book was just okay at best. I read it for a book club with the women in my parents‘ Sunday school class. I think the content of this book was very superficial. There are other books out there that are more biblically based and use less long-winded examples than Shirer does.
The book was obviously written for elementary school kids and all of the publication dates that I found said the book was published in the 2010s but it was obviously written earlier than that. I am definitely a lot older than elementary school kids so I don‘t think that I enjoyed it as much as an elementary school kid would have. But I did think it was a decent kids book. Rating: 3 ⭐️
It‘s definitely a coffee table book. I don‘t think there‘s anything special about this book. There is a lot of anthropomorphizing of dogs in order to make the author‘s “dog mantras” make sense. As for this being a self-help book, it‘s just okay. I did like the art style of the illustrations though. 😂 Rating: 3 ⭐️
Overall, I think this is a good book and one that I would read again at some point. This is a very mild psychological thriller (meaning there isn‘t anything crazy intense that happens). Rating: 5 ⭐️
I decided to read this tiny little book about essential oils while in Urban outfitters. It was an extremely easy read because there were only tiny blurbs about each plant/oil and contained some pictures. This book is obviously geared towards people that regularly use and believe in the power of essential oils. I enjoyed the art style of the pictures and I did like reading about what each thing is used for. But overall, this was not my cup of tea.
There was some good points in this book and I appreciate that the book was a quick read. But overall, the book was just okay. The author was very repetitive throughout. Rating: 2 ⭐️
Unfortunately, I had to DNF this book. Not because of the information that was in it but just because I had a hard time focusing when reading this book. From what I did read, Robert Miller did do a good job of explaining why he was doing what he was doing and I thought it was smart to include pictures of what he was talking about. Rating: 3 ⭐️
I thought at times that the story was slow. I did think that Mr. Benedict‘s clues were pretty clever. Overall I did enjoy this book even though it‘s meant for middle school kids.
If your a Hocus Pocus fan, I say just stick with the original book and movie. This book is just a retelling of the movie with a subpar sequel that leaves room for an even more subpar sequel. Rating: 1 ⭐️
This book is my least favorite of the A-List series. I did appreciate the James Dean reference about 3/4 of the way through. My opinions about the books and characters from the last couple reviews about this series still holds true with this book. But Cammie does have a small sliver of character development. Rating: 2 ⭐️
I thought this was a good book. It was simply about the relationships between the horses and their humans. It reminded me of my relationship with my horse.
This is the second time I‘ve read this book. I DNF‘d it the first time and DNF‘d it this time. Not because of the information in the book but because of how the information was explained. There wasn‘t a lot of details in the book and all of the points had pretty basic explanations. I understand the need for books like these. But I think I would retain the information better if I had more detailed explanations. Rating: 2 ⭐️
This book is just okay but good enough to keep me wanting to continue with the series. This series is similar to The Clique series by Lisi Harrison. Anna is the only redeemable character and Sam had SOME character development... barely any but some. Rating: 3 ⭐️
This book wasn‘t terrible. But it wasn‘t great either. I liked it enough to decide to continue with the series (because I want to see where Zoey Dean takes these books). Honestly, Anna was the only redeemable character of the book. The drama seems like WAY too much trouble for any girl to go through for a chance with a guy that doesn‘t want them.
I loved the God centered family and the gentlemanly nature of all the men in the book. It‘s a short read but a good one. Rating: 5⭐️
“He looked deeply into the horse‘s eyes. This horse had his own wisdom, and even though Harry had seen the hurt in his children‘s eyes, he still thought he had made the right decision to pull up yesterday. Take care of your horse and he‘ll take care of you. Harry firmly believed that.” ~ The Eight Dollar Champion by Elizabeth Letts, page 194
I was gifted this book by a great aunt when I was 7. So this book holds some sentimental value for me. This book is a short anthology about instances where the loving kindness of a friend came at an important but unexpected time, when these people needed it most. Rating: 5 ⭐️
Overall, I give this book 5 ⭐️ because I did enjoy reading the books within the Harry Potter books. My only complaint is that it seemed as though there was a lot of information crammed into a small amount of pages.
Overall, I give this book 3 ⭐️. Like Tales of Beedle the Bard, I thought this was a good addition to the Harry Potter series. I enjoy reading the books mentioned in the books.
Reading through this devotional was only supposed to take a year. But it took me over two years because I kept forgetting that I was reading it. 😂 I did notice that a lot of the verses in the devotional were taken out of context to fit the story that each author was already planning on telling & prefer to read devotionals that stay true to the context of the Bible. For that, I give this devotional a rating of 2 ⭐️.
This series is just okay. It holds a lot of nostalgia for me, which is why I kept reading it. Overall, I like the suspense of the series and I like the idea of reincarnation mixed with a cursed true love romance thing. But I think the story could have been written a little better. & I don‘t know how I feel about the fate of humanity being on the shoulders of two cursed & love stricken teenagers. 😂
I got this as a white elephant present & being the bookworm that I am, I couldn‘t help myself but read it before I wrapped it. It goes through all 7 Christmas episodes of the Office. I thought the pictures, synopses, and food recipes were great. My only complaint is that there was some repetition towards the end that didn‘t add anything significant to the book. If the repetition had been left out, the book would have definitely been much better.
This book was yet another re-read for me. But I think it‘s a great addition to the Harry Potter Universe because it gives more understanding to the references in the original Harry Potter books (even if those references are few and far between). Rating: 4 ⭐️
This was another re-read for me. I enjoy Jen Calonita‘s writing. But since I‘m a few years older reading this book, it wasn‘t as interesting as I once thought it to be. Despite that, I still enjoyed it and thought it was a fun and easy read. I recommend it for someone who wants to get out of a reading slump or enjoyed The Clique series or the Gallagher Girls series.
