Absolutely heartbreaking and totally beautiful. This book opened my eyes to a part of history which I hadn't come across before and left me weeping for the millions of people whose stories will never be told.

Loved being back in Percy Jacksons world!
I absolutely adored this book! It was so good to go back and meet all the characters again and I'm actually really gutted that Leigh Bardugo won't be writing any more in this series. I loved each individual character and the fact that they were all a little morally dubious. I loved the fact that Inej was a strong female lead. I hope to see her again in one of Leigh Bardugo's books!
I filmed my holiday reads video today and this is one of the top contenders. It's about three sisters who each possess a different type of magic. There's an elemental, a poisoner and a naturalist. When the sisters reach the age of 16 they must fight one another for the crown. I'm thinking it's going to be a very dark and twisty read!! The other thing I love is that there are three covers available for each sister.
I had very little intention of picking up this book after I had finished Scarlet but I just need to know what happens!! It's been a while since I've fallen so hard into a world and I am loving these fairytale retellings. They are quick and easy to read, with likeable and unusual characters; perfect for curling up on a blustery autumn day 🍁🍂
