I've never read mystery novels before, but this may have gotten me hooked

I honestly was not excited to read this. It was chosen by my book club. I ended up really liking it & now I'm 1/2 way through the next.

I loved the way each character's story wove into the next. It was dark & sad, but I really liked it nonetheless
