It took me a little longer than I expected to get into this, but I'm really glad I stuck with it. Funny, a little absurd, and smart, plus a large dose of the Victorian, this was definitely worth a read. Anything that combines seances and chaos theory with the Battle of Waterloo is a win, I think.

"Sara thought that, nowadays, everyone seemed to be dreaming of absolutely everything. Traveling and loving and having a fantastic career and a happy family, all while being thin, beautiful, popular, and in touch with their spiritual side." How delightfully true!

When you're reading and suddenly think, "Know what would be fun right now? Laundry!" you're probably just not that into it. I picked this up because I like "fresh start" stories, but by chapter 3 it still hadn't grabbed me. I really didn't connect with either main character, so I'm moving on.
