The End of the Affair | Graham Greene
Pickpick

Greene is one of the most beautiful writers I've read. Reading his prose is like swimming through the world. This book is passionate, thoughtful and contains compelling internal conflict as the narrator fights with himself over his love for a woman and disbelief in God.

I listened on Audible and would recommend that over the book because she narrates it herself and provides additional comments that are not in the book Think of all the books you‘ve read, authors you admire whose voices you‘ve never heard. Hearing her voice read her own words brings them to life. You hear the words as she intends, with inflection and intonation for emphasis. You hear her get fired up.
