Lovely children's book about cats and magic. Quite enjoyable.

An enlightening read on Burke and Wills' expedition to traverse inland Australia from Melbourne in the south to the Gulf of Carpentaria in the north. It's a terribly tragic tale of bad timing and incompetence, but also a fascinating and compelling story. Highly recommended.
What a lovely, lovely book! I adored the story and the artwork. It was sad in places and quite funny in others (Miika the mouse was a wonderful character!) I'll definitely be re-reading it during many Christmases in the future.
