As apposed to a quote. I just want to say what a wonderful writer. I absolutely fell in love with his Mcpheron brothers and subsequently had my heart broken.
But can anyone recommend a writer of similar craftsmanship and sheer story telling talent. I am bereft here In Ireland and could do with some recommendations......
andrew61 I've just read plainsong and seen your comment - its very subjective so id hate to recommend something that you don't like but two that may appeal that i read last year are Tom drury 'The end of vandalism ' and Robert Seethaler 'A whole life' - personally im not a fan of anne tyler (although i liked her last one) but she does similar small town American.
