My first book of 2019 and I‘m disappointed. It rather drags on. I have always enjoyed her Strike series but I think This one is rambling. I struggle with her British vernacular and the dialog is also in dialects. Ack. The story had promise (government shenanigans) but at Chapter 26, I just want it to be over. Sigh...

Mehso-so

I had a hard time with the broken up writing style. I did enjoy the book overall. Some hards parts & I cried. Others, I smiled. Had to put it down and find something happier to read for awhile. Glad I picked it back up and finished it.

Pickpick

I'm not quite through it. But I can't put it down. Wonderful characters. Story is set in the vineyards and wineries of a place in eastern Washington state called Red Mountain.it's about dreams fulfilled and lost, about families natural and extended. Lives intersect in such interesting ways. I'm loving this book and afraid there may be tears along the way.
