This is a book about a 21-year-old who doesn‘t know her own worth and accepts a love she doesn‘t deserve from an older, married man. It mainly tells the story about her relationships with her best friend (previously ex-girlfriend) and the married man she is having an affair with. The book develops the characters beautifully, and was hard to put down. I found the “ending” was a bit frustrating because it romanticises self-destructive behaviour.

I think this book was a little more brilliant than my little mind understood. I can‘t really sell it because I don‘t think I fully understood it in it‘s full brilliance. It‘s a story about the lives and love lives of two couples in Prague. It tells the stories of infidelities but ultimately makes the point that life is light in the most unbearable sense, and that we are all trying to make it heavier by finding meaning (I think...).

A beautiful, brave and honest account of her experiences and reflections on being a sociopath.
She describes the events in her life that shape the development of her sociopathy, while acknowledging the role that biology plays.

The author has a clever way of making you feel simultaneously connected to her and very different from her. She ultimately respects positive role that diversity of personality has in the world.

I actually couldn‘t put this down. I finished this book feeling, in equal measures, comforted, alive, and devastatingly sad. It‘s a book about a young woman who doesn‘t know her own worth and accepts the love she thinks she deserves. But, in accepting this love, she finds the kind of love only a few of us are lucky to ever know.

Man's Search for Meaning | Viktor E Frankl

A window into the author‘s perspective on life and its meaning. He describes his experience in concentration camps and uses his background as a psychiatrist to explain how humans live through, and even grow through trauma. A beautiful example of post-traumatic growth and of human‘s ability to find meaning in adversity.

A beautiful story that has just the right balance of real life and magic. A story about love, and heartache, patience, trust, and ultimately, being in the present moment.

A book about how we love different people in different ways for different reasons, and about how each person we love meets needs for us that no one else can.

Four | Andy Jones

A book about the aftermath of giving into lust and blurring boundaries. A warning that love and family can‘t be achieved by forcing two incompatible people together, nor can it be achieved by rushing two very compatible people together at the wrong time or under the wrong circumstances. Love and family can be achieved when two compatible people meet at the right time in the right circumstances.
