Chase Ambrose is the captain of the football team, the school's superstar athlete, and the most feared bully in the school, but this all changes after he falls off his roof and is diagnosed with amnesia. He can rember basic things like walking or eating, but he doesn‘t even remember his mother. Chase's old friends (Aaron and Bear) try to help Chase get back to his old life of causing fear and havoc wherever they go.

MackenzieS At lunch one day, Chase meets video club nerd Brendan Espinoza, and he shows Chase how his friends' actions (and his old ones) have affected the people around him. Chase has to battle with trying to find his new identity and change his reputation, so he can be the person he wants to become with the pressure of others trying to make him the person he was. 4y
MackenzieS Soon Chase's question changes from “who was I?” to “who am I going to be?” because not everyone gets a chance to restart. If you enjoy books that have a moral teaching to them, have a bit of mystery, and have the cliche highschool clique atmosphere, I would recommend this for you. 4y
MackenzieS This book is written in third-person omniscient point of view, and the author does this by writing each chapter from the point of view from different characters in the book.

The Inn Between | Marina Cohen

Quinn and Kara are best friends. But with the news of Kara‘s family moving they do one last thing together- take a road trip! Accompanied by Karas family, they embark on their last adventure across the country. After a long day of traveling they stop at an inn for a break.

MackenzieS All seems well until strange things continue to happen, a strange man is following their every move, Kara‘s family goes missing one by one, and they keep seeing Quinns dead sister. Now Quinn and Kara have to find their way out of the inn before they lose each other. 4y
MackenzieS If you like books that have a mystery plot but are still easy to follow, this is a book for you. A motif in this book is the friendship bracelet Quinn and Kara wear. This is an important motif because the bracelet is the only thing that is keeping them together even though they know they are going to lose each other.

MissYaremcio Very nice Mackenzie! The bracelet looks to be more of a symbol than a motif, so I will give you 1/2 on the motif section! Is it quite creepy? 5/6 4y
