The writing is inventive and subversive: allows to see the narrator's inner voice. Powerfully written to show a poignant window into disordered eating. YA writers have been continually revealing themselves to be intelligent and forthright mentors for today's teens with engaging and honest fiction.

Starting in to this pick for my book club. Lovely writing.

She just smiled, said that she loved books more than anything, and started telling him excitedly what each of the ones in her lap was about. And Ove realized that he wanted to hear her talking about the things she loved for the rest of his life."

Just spent some quality reading time with this today. A thoughtful and poignant memoir.
